Dancing on Ice: Where is Holly Willoughby as host replaced on ITV show

Holly Willoughby has been forced to pull out of this week's episode of Dancing On Ice.

The 41-year-old usually hosts editions of the popular ITV programme alongside presenting partner, Phillip Schofield.

However, she is set to miss Sunday's semi final after testing positive for coronavirus.

ITV released a statement to confirm Holly will return for next week's final of the hit TV contest.

The channel said: "Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby is unable to host tonight's show after testing positive for Covid-19. We look forward to Holly returning for the Dancing on Ice Live Final.”

Co-host Phil took to Instagram earlier today and said he is "gutted" Holly will be missing out on tonight's programme.

He said: "Gutted that my mate won't be with me on Dancing On Ice tonight.

"Get well soon darling."

Phillip was also forced to missed an episode last month after catching Covid-19.

The 59-year-old broadcaster was replaced by Stephen Mulhern, who fronted the show alongside Holly.

However, Stephen will be unable to fill in this time as he revealed he is currently "resting up on doctor's orders."

He tweeted: “Hello all. Sorry I’ve been quiet on here recently and thank you for all your lovely messages. I've had some time off and been resting up on doctors orders.

"I’m on the mend, I’m happy to say, and looking forward to getting back to work soon. In the meantime I’ll put my feet up and watch Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with the rest of you lot."

Kye Whyte, Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt, Regan Gascoigne and Connor Ball will be donning their skates for tonight's semi-final.

Dancing On Ice airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
