A Dancing On Ice star has revealed the reality of the gruelling training behind the hit ITV show.
Former EastEnders icon Danniella Westbrook has told how she broke her ribs and suffered several horrific injuries while training for the show when she appeared on it in 2010.
The former soap legend was partnered with skating pro Matthew Gonzalez for the competition.
She and the US Pairs Skater came fourth in the series, having lost out to Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston who won that year.
The 49-year-old has lifted the lid on the awful injuries she endured in her quest for victory.
“I broke three ribs, I ripped my tendon in my leg, and twisted my knee and popped it out of the knee cap,” she told the Daily Star.
"That was all in rehearsal but I managed to skate every week your skating partner is like your therapist. There are so many hats they have to wear.
"It's like when you shoot EastEnders you spend more time on set than you do your own family.
"There were people who had a lot worse than me, the pro skaters skate with injuries all the time. To do on a show like that and not experience every level of it, I felt like I did get the full experience that way."
Danniella’s revelation comes days after she claimed to have been flooded with DMs from famous men following her rather racy underwear shoot.
She also confessed to planning to take a series of saucy snaps in a Valentine’s Day themed photoshoot, which she will send to her fiancé who is currently in prison.
She is officially back on with her toyboy jailbird lover, David.
Rumours were swirling that the pair had called an end to things after the actress revealed the couple are engaged again having split last year due to personal frustrations.
Her partner is currently serving time in prison for counterfeit goods. But she is now counting down the days until he is out and they can spend some time together.
