Brendan Cole is bracing himself for a dramatic night on Dancing On Ice on Sunday.
The former Strictly Come Dancing pro, 45, has wowed the judges since making his debut with partner Vanessa Bauer.
However he's now opened up about the atmosphere backstage as he shared a cryptic post on Instagram.
Confirming he and Vanessa would be skating to Elvis Costello's She, Brendan shared a pic of the pair on the ice.
Alongside the snap, he wrote: " An exciting weekend ahead… A double elimination and things are getting personal!"
The dancer's post comes amid reports of tension behind the scenes of the show in what is one of ITV's biggest hits.
A source said: "This year, the show is the most competitive it's ever been.
"They all want to win it and the standard is so high, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, you can really feel the tension.
"They're all training like crazy. Nobody is interested in being second, they all want to win," reports OK! magazine.
The Mirror has contacted ITV for comment.
Brendan will be battling it out with The Vamps' Connor Ball, Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt, BMXer Kye Whyte and dancer Regan Gascoigne, who all hope to skate off with the trophy.
Brendan and Regan, 26, have found themselves at the centre of fix rumours after fans claimed they had an unfair advantage because of their dancing background.
Regan, who is the son of England footballing legend Paul Gascoigne, may be one of the favourites to lift the Dancing On Ice trophy, but he previously enrolled in the Hammond Ballet School when he was younger and studied musical theatre.
Fans have given him a bit of drubbing for his scores, but Regan told The Mirror that skating was “different to dancing”.
“You're holding your core in a totally different way to how you would be dancing. Lifting people is totally different, it is a completely different skill. The ice is a completely different element,” he explained.
Brendan, meanwhile, was called out after his Strictly colleague Arlene Phillips awarded him 10 points.
“The night Dancing on Ice becomes Fix on Ice! Brendan gets his mate on the judges panel and she gives him a 10 while marking others up to 2 points lower than the other judges!” an irate viewer tweeted.
While another fumed that those with previous dancing experience shouldn't be allowed to compete against celebrities who have never had any dance training.
Dancing On Ice is on ITV on Sunday at 6pm.
