Dancing on Ice set for elimination shakeup

Dancing On Ice will see a major shakeup to its elimination process this weekend.

The hottest competition on ice returned to audience fanfare but many were disappointed with the costumes paraded on screen. Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was on the receiving end of a list of Ofcom complaints for sporting a revealing diamond-encrusted body suit which many viewers deemed inappropriate for its 6:30 pm time slot.

With week three just around the corner Dancing On Ice is set to shake things up with a series first. Entertainment expert Richard Arnold confirmed on Good Morning Britain that the show will scrap the skate-off between the two lowest celebrities.

The change will add pressure to contestants as the next to be eliminated will be selected from a combined panel and public vote. This means the celebrities' first and only chance to impress will be during their first skate.

John Fashanu, along with his partner Alexandra Schauman, was the first to be eliminated after losing the skate-off to Ekin-Su. Richard Arnold confirmed the skaters will take on 'Musical Week' next with Ekin-Su predicted to take on The Sound of Music, sporting either a nun's outfit or Julie Andrew's iconic smock to combat any further "inappropriately dressed" complaints.
