Dancing on Ice's Stef Reid completes first headbanger of the series using prosthetic leg

Dancing On Ice contestant Stefanie Reid completed the season's first headbanger.

While using her prosthetic leg, the track and field Paralympian was swung around with her head shockingly close to the ice.

The star, along with dance partner Andy Buchanan, skated along to Madonna's hit song Material Girl.

At one point, Stef slides across the floor before Andy picks her up by her leg and starts swinging her around.

The crowd can be heard gasping and cheering as they greatly executed the terrifying stunt.

DOI's judges were in awe and all individually scored her a nine, resulting in a 36 score.

"I'm really proud we managed to do it we did it on my prosthetic leg," Stef said.

It's only the show's first headbanger done on someone with a prosthetic leg.

Viewers were left speechless after watching the insane move and took to social media to post about it.

"Stef & Andy had me screaming..the head banger stresses me out..." one user said.

Another added: "I really like stef. That was honestly brilliant. The head banger wow! Highly deserved scores too."

"Ahhh Stef a headbanger on a prosthetic leg?? Sooo proud of her always," one happy viewer commented.

One user posted: "Stef just keeps getting better and better every week. She’s the dark horse this season I wouldn’t be shocked if Stef made it to the finals."

On Saturday, Stef was pictured tirelessly rehearsing to perfect the dangerous headbanger.

She had been practising all week and it was clearly worth the effort.

Before tonight's show aired, Stef admitted: “I didn’t know what I was getting into when I said yes.

“The first time we did it I was definitely a little surprised at how intense the g-force was."

Pro skate partner Andy described it as a “real challenge”.

He added: “Normally, we would take off with the other leg but this way Stef is facing the opposite direction to what she normally would.

“So, it creates a lot of different movements in the headbanger.

“It makes it really difficult for me to figure out how to teach her and to stop that rotation in order to be safe. It’s actually turned out to be a lot harder than I initially expected."
