Dancing on Ice's Siva Kaneswaran 'gutted' as he's forced to pull out of show last minute

Dancing on Ice star Siva Kaneswaran has said that he is "gutted" after being forced to pull out of tomorrow night's show last minute.

In a statement, the ITV dancing show confirmed that The Wanted star would not be performing this weekend due to illness. He is set to return next week.

A spokesperson told the Mirror: "Due to illness Siva will not skate in this weekend's show. We look forward to welcoming him back next weekend."

While Siva said: "I'm gutted that I won't be performing this weekend but I picked up a bug earlier in the week which I haven’t been able to shake so I need to rest and get myself better.

"Good luck to all the contestants this weekend - I'm looking forward to watching everyone's performances!"

Fans quickly flocked to social media to wish him well, with one writing: "Get well soon, @sivaofficial. I will say a prayer for you, bro."

While another commented: "your skate last week was beautiful! Get well soon!"

A third wrote: "Get Well soon & rest up for next week @sivaofficial . You are getting better and better on & will be missed tomorrow night."

Siva also shared a video message on his Instagram account from bed as he looked incredibly tired and shared his heartbreak at being unable to perform.

He revealed that he was suffering from a viral infection in his chest that has just "got worse and worse" and he "can't shake it".

In a gravelly voice, he said: "I just want to say that I'm so gutted that I can't perform this weekend. I got a viral infection in my chest and it just got worse and worse. I just can't shake it.

"Wishing all the contestants good luck this weekend on Sunday. You'll do great, I'll be watching. Lots of love guys."
