Siva Kaneswaran was seen getting choked up during his appearance on Loose Women as he spoke about his upcoming tribute on Dancing on Ice. The Wanted star hasn't had the easiest of times on the ITV skating show after being forced to miss a week due to a viral infection before landing in the bottom two last weekend.
Siva, 34, narrowly secured his place in the semi-final, due to air live on Sunday (March 5) after delivering an impressive performance to Tomorrow by Marisha Wallace during the competition's props week. After taking to the ice in a rowing boat and using an oar as his prop, the singer secured a score of 34 – his highest of the series so far.
However, after the public vote, Siva had to skate again as he went head-to-head with former Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson. Following the skate-off. the judging panel - Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean, unanimously decided to send Carley, 40, home after she had earlier given a dramatic performance to Fever by Beyonce, using a red feather boa as her prop.

Having made it to the semi-final, Siva has revealed that he will pay a poignant tribute to his late bandmate Tom Parker as the year anniversary of his death approaches. Tom, who shot to fame as one-fifth of pop boyband The Wanted alongside Siva, died on March 30, 2022, after being diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma in 2020 when Kelsey was pregnant with their second child, son Bodhi.
Speaking to Jane Moore, Coleen Nolan, Linda Robson, and Kelle Bryan, Siva said: "Yeah so this ... I wanted to do it on Dancing On Ice. I didn't know if I was going to get to do it. But this weekend is going to be a tribute to Tom."
He then had to take a moment as he got emotional, confirming he'd be performing to The Wanted's hit track, Gold Forver, which was re-released following his death and also played at his funeral. "This weekend we're going to go for it for Tom," Siva added. It's Tom's version..."
He then added: "I can't think straight. I'm thinking of him. We are going to do a nice dance for him. I have been very tender this week. And very emotional."
During their chat, Siva also recalled how he has seen "so many signs" from his late friend." I see so many signs, I mean last night I went to a Jessie J concert," he began, before stopping suddenly.
"I’m going to get emotional," the Irish star said as Linda replied: "You’re allowed to," with the other panellists quick to show their support. After taking a breathe, he continued: “And I went to see Jessie J and she had a surprise guest.
"And it was Claude Kelly who is this amazing singer-songwriter but he was the writer of Gold Forever." They also spoke about one of his Dancing on Ice performances in which he had to channel his inner Elvis. "I keep thinking Dancing On Ice are stitching me up," Siva said as Coleen told him Tom would have been "laughing" at his portrayal of the 'King of Rock and Roll'.
"They didn’t plan this, but Elvis' manager, his name was Tom Parker." The studio audience gasped and laughed in shock at the coincidence, with Siva raising his arms before exclaiming: "Like, are you kidding me?"
