Dancing On Ice's Ria Hebden exits ITV skating show after tense skate off

Ria Hebden has left Dancing On Ice after a tense skate off.

The television presenter found themselves in the bottom two alongside S Club star Rachel Stevens after her performance on tonight's episode of the ITV show, meaning they were sent home after just two weeks in the competition.

Giving their verdict, the four judges - Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo - admitted they were torn who to put through but between them, they eventually decided to send Ria home.

"It's such a tough competition. I felt this couple was more effortless," Oti said as she gave her choice.

Despite landing in the bottom two, Rachel Stevens impressed viewers at home with her first ever skate, thrilling fans with the Moulin Rouge inspired dance to Lady Marmalade from the hit movie musical whilst Brendan Cole and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer continued their great run on the show, topping the leaderboard with a beautiful performance to Shallow from A Star is Born.

Happy Mondays star Bez and his partner Angela Egan had everyone smiling from ear to ear with his skate to Raiders of the Lost Ark from Indiana Jones whilst Regan Gascoigne impressed with a performance to Singin' in the Rain.

Kimberly opened the show with a stunning dance to The Greatest Showman, earning rave reviews from the four judges, as she bagged a score of 34 points out of 40.

Kye Whyte wasn't able to perform tonight and has got a pass into next week's show, after falling in training.

The BMX star was forced to miss this week's performance due to the injury, leaving him absolutely gutted, as he added in a statement: "It’s an unfortunate accident. I’ve trained and worked hard with Tippy to perform this weekend.

"For me, as an athlete, I’m used to stuff like this happening where you get injured and can’t compete. I’m more sad for Tippy, she’s worked hard so not being able to skate is obviously upsetting."

He added: "We both really wanted to do this number, it’s a cool performance and we put a lot of effort into it. I was so happy and excited for everyone when they skated last weekend. I was watching and couldn’t wait to skate this Sunday."

Last week, Ben Foden was the first celeb to be booted off the show after a skate off with Lorraine presenter Ria Hebden.
