Dancing on Ice's Regan Gascoigne under pressure from Christopher Dean after big demand

Dancing on Ice favourite Regan Gascoigne has had the pressure piled on him by skating legend Christopher Dean, after the judge asked him to execute a notoriously hard to master move.

Son of football legend Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne, Regan was the frontrunner for the new series in the eyes of the bookies before he'd even set foot on the ice for his first performance.

And then, after making a fine debut on the ITV show with his skate to Sam Smith's Too Good at Goodbyes, Regan made a mark on both the judging panels, viewers at home and experts as they cut his odds on winning the title this year.

Regan and pro partner Karina Manta were back in action against as Dancing on Ice brought its Dance Week to the rink live on Sunday night.

The duo scored their highest score of the series for their reggaeton inspired routine to Little Mix hit Reggaeton Lento.

And, as well as being kind with his score, Winter Olympic champion Chris had a request for Regan, telling him that, having done a solo spin as part of the Judges' Challenge, he wanted an axel from him on a future show.

An axel is a jump when a skater goes from the forward outside edge of one skate to the backward outside edge of the other, with at least one and a half turns in the air.

Both Regan and Karina looked taken aback by Chris demand as host Holly asked the 25-year-old: "Can you do that?" to which he replied: "I don't know. We'll have to find out."

While Regan was riding high at the top of the leaderboard, Rachel Stevens became the latest celeb to get the boot from Dancing on Ice.

The S Club 7 star landed in the Skate Off for the second week in a row, and lost her place in the competition after all the judges opted to save Kye Whyte.
