Paul Gascoigne was an incredibly proud dad as his son Regan made an amazing debut on Dancing on Ice, shedding some tears in a moving backstage interview.
Before he had even set foot on the rink on Sunday night, bookies put their faith firmly in 25-year-old Regan and had him as favourite to win the new series of the ITV show, with him edging ahead of week 1 frontrunner, ex Strictly pro Brendan Cole.
And, their revised odds look like being a very call as Regan and pro partner Karina got the highest score of the series so far for their first performance, earning a huge 33 out of 40 for their routine to Sam Smith hit Too Good at Goodbyes.
Before viewers at home and the Dancing on Ice panel got to see Regan in skating action, a very moving VT played out on screen, which saw him sit down with his football icon dad Gazza.

The pair chatted about Regan getting to do Dancing on Ice, with former England legend Gazza telling his son he was well impressed," with him for doing the show.
Gazza, now 54, then continued: "The minute you were born I was proud son," as Regan replied: "As long as I've got your support."
Gazza then told Regan: "No doubt when you come on stage I'll be proud," as he choked on his words and admitted: "I'm getting emotional now!" and wiped away tears.
He added: "Can I just tell you how proud I am," as Regan went over to give his dad a hug.
In a piece to camera, Regan then said: "Knowing my family are supporting me all the time is just amazing.
"I feel so lucky to have such a lovely family."
While Gazza wasn't in the audience on Sunday night, Regan had two very enthusiastic cheerleaders in the studio in the shape of older sister Bianca and mum Cheryl, with both of them telling host Holly Willoughby how proud they were of him.
