Rachel Stevens is said to have had her confidence on the ice knocked after falling during training for Dancing on Ice.
The former S Club 7 member partnered with professional ice skater Brendyn Hatfield, 36, in the series.
But the singer, 43, was forced to pull out of last weekend's show after sustaining a fracture to her wrist whilst training.
Rachel is now set to make her debut this coming weekend - but she's "worried she won't be ready".
What's more, there's said to be concern that she could make the injury worse if she falls on the ice again.
A source told New magazine that the injury has knocked her confidence on the ice, despite her having been "really going for it" in skating rehearsals with Brendyn.
The source said: "She is absolutely devastated and worried she won't be ready [yet].
"They said she's concerned about falling on the ice again and making the injury 'even worse'.
They further told the outlet that "the fear has really set in," despite her having previously been "really going for it" - though they added that she is "determined" to get better.
Rachel spoke about her upcoming debut on last Sunday's episode, in which the singer confirmed that she's set to appear in the next episode this coming weekend.
She said: "I'm really good. It's healed really well, thankfully. We are back on the ice next week."
And she teased that her and Brendyn were perform a Moulin Rouge! inspired dance.
The latest episode saw the first skate-off of the new series, with TV presenter Ria Hebden, 39, having been up against rugby player Ben Foden, 36. The judges chose to save Ria.
