Dancing on Ice contestant John Fashanu is reportedly in a feud with his agent daughter Amal, after he allegedly cut her out of his deal with the ITV show.
Former professional footballer John, 60, is competing in the latest series of the ITV skating show – competing alongside Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu, Darren Harriott, Siva Kaneswaran and more.
However, ex Gladiator John has now been accused by his daughter of 'going behind her back' to secure the deal for the programme.
John's daughter Amal has claimed she hasn't spoken to her dad in five months and feels "used" after her "fame hungry" dad "completely" cut her out of the deal.
Amal discovered her dad had signed up for the show after getting a phone call from an ITV worker asking if she could be filmed offering support as part of the show.
At the time of the phone call, in which her dad John was also on the line, Amal said she was left speechless as she "didn't know" she was no longer his agent.
She claimed that later, John called her to discuss his signing – however, Amal recalled simply saying "congratulations" to her father before hanging up and the pair haven't spoken since.
She has told The Sun on Sunday: "Dad’s a joke. He went behind my back.
"I want nothing more to do with him right now. We’ve not talked for five months."
Amal said her father "doesn't think about" how his actions "hurt" people and claimed his actions have "got worse" as he's aged.
The talent agent also heartbreakingly added: "I do love him but I don’t know that he loves me."
John's representatives declined to comment when contacted by the Mirror.
This isn't the first time Amal has been cut out of a deal by her dad, she has claimed.
Amal said she had helped her dad sign up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which John appeared on in 2020.
She claimed she was working alongside someone else acting as her agent when her father said she "doesn't need five per cent" of the deal – as it was "too much" due to her relationship with John.
Amal said she only discovered the move when she was told by someone else – who was "disgusted" by it.
While on Celeb SAS, John was the fourth star to leave – and later said he was "forced to leave" by Ant Middleton.
John struggled to complete a task which required the celebrity recruits to forward abseil down a sheer, 60m cliff-face in pairs.
He was paired with Rudimental's DJ Locksmith (Leon Rolle) but on reaching the top could not make it down, resulting in chief instructor Ant Middleton taking his numbered armband from him afterwards.
Fashanu told PA news agency: "I gave my all. When I left I said to myself 'Look, if you are going to leave you leave with a bang'. I worked hard, it was hard work, I was physically but, more importantly, mentally exhausted."
