Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu wowed in a pink dress as she was joined by Davide Sanclimenti for a disco-inspired routine on Dancing On Ice.
The Love Island star was at the centre of a string of Ofcom complaints for her bikini style leotard during the first week of the ITV1 show. At the time, Ekin-Su had admitted she was sad about the comments on her outfit, but has since hit back at her critics.
The confident star says she refuses to "back off" and plans to fight and she clearly did that tonight as she impressed with her performance, earning a respectable score from the four judges - Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Tonight, Ekin-Su impressed with her skate and was even joined by a shirtless Davide for the end of her routine, as the pair shared a passionate kiss on the ice to complete her performance with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield.
Speaking recently, Ekin-Su vowed to be herself despite the criticisms - but admitted they did leave her very upset.
She told the Sunday People : "I’m not going to just back off any more, I’m going to be confident again. I’m going to fight. I’m here, I’m ready. I’m going to shine and I’m going to be me again.
"I was very upset. Instead of people backing me up and saying, ‘Look, she’s doing her best. Look at her, look at her confidence’, I had negative feedback. I was crying a lot. I went home, I cried in Davide’s arms. I looked in the mirror and I went, 'What is wrong with me? What have I done wrong? Why are people being like this?'"
She was used to criticism following Love Island, but had no idea it was happening as she didn't have her phone.
"It’s something new for me. In Love Island, people criticised me at the start but we had no phones. I had no idea what was happening outside. Now, I can actually read it. I see it, it’s in my face. Someone sends me a DM, a tweet, and I see it. It’s everywhere and it was a lot to take," she explained of facing the backlash head on as it happens.
Ekin-Su went for a more conservative approach for her outfit as The Sound of Music’s Maria last week. At the time, judge Oti Mabuse backed her publicly praising her and telling her to stay true to herself.
She said: "I want you to remember to stay true to yourself. You’re such a beautiful girl. It’s not a bad thing to be sexy."
