Christopher Dean was left red faced on Sunday night's Dancing on Ice when he suffered from an unfortunate choice of words, while giving an update on his recent injury.
Earlier this week, Winter Olympic champion Chris revealed he'd ended in hospital with a broken finger, sharing a photo of his bandaged finger on social media and writing: "We were trying the Iron Lotus, but ended up doing a Half Nelson or did I just fall over a suitcase in the middle of the night."
His photo quickly got plenty of comments, with one fan joking that he should have went with the original excuse, replying: ""I would go with the iron lotus story. Makes it look more heroic." Another reacted: "Thank goodness it was only your finger," with a third telling him'; "I hope you’re on the mend soon."

It didn't take long for Chris' injury to become a talking point on Dancing on Ice, when the new series kicked off on Sunday night. It was presenter Phillip Schofield who requested an update, with Chris quick to reply, as he quipped: "Jayne (Torvill) squeezed by hard....erm....my hand in a lift," as Phillip reacted: "She was what?" as Chris protested: "She was squeezing my hand in the lift," before Phillip and Holly erupted into a fit of giggles, with Jayne looking bemused as she looked on.
Trying to continue the show, Holly joked: "Thank you for sharing," as Phillip interrupted: "I wish I hadn't asked now!"
Giving the actual truth behind his hospital ash, Christopher explained: "No, I fell over in a darkened room," as Holly shot back: "I preferred the first version!"
