Dancing On Ice's Bez says he's "relieved" he's left the ITV show.
The Happy Mondays star, 57, was booted off the programme on Sunday after he ended up in the skate-off with Coronation Street actress, Sally Dynevor, 58.
The smash-hit show has found itself under fire recently after viewers accused the judges of showing favouritism to certain contestants.
With his magnetic maracas and obligatory crash helmet, Bez provided moments of sheer joy on the programme - but many fans thought he should have left in week three.
The star was snapped yesterday with a smile a mile wide as he left his hotel in London with some of his keepsakes from his time on the ice.
And despite missing performing live every weekend with his skating partner Angela Egan, the father-of-three says it was the right call from the judges.
He explained: "I felt relieved. At the end of the day I knew I had reached the end of the road," reports The Sun.
"My old bones, my old knees, my old back - they were screaming in protest.My old bones, my old knees, my old back - they were screaming in protest. So it was a good time for me to come out.
Bez also said he was happy he could still play the maracas, adding: "Anything that impairs my ability to hold a pair of maracas would've been a tragedy and of course me legs as well because I depend on my legs to dance and to rave."
The musician may be happy to be out, but two stars still on the show are facing some serious backlash.
Regan Gascoigne, 26, whose father is former footballer Paul Gascoigne, is odds-on favourite to win the show - however he's been dancing professionally for years.
Fans reckon his experience with musical theatre and dance troupe Qdos Entertainment have given him an unfair advantage.
However the brother of reality star Bianca Gascoigne pointed out to The Mirror that "dancing was different to skating".
During Sunday’s show, viewers were annoyed when the star was scored highly, despite stumbling during his routine.
“Again Regan is scored ultra high, he did not complete the judges challenge did one jump and then stumbled,” one fan fumed.
Former Strictly pro Brendan, 45, scored the first 10 of the series on the weekend with his interim partner Brendyn Hatfield.
But, again, fans weren't happy, with one tweeting: "“The night Dancing on Ice becomes Fix on Ice! Brendan gets his mate on the judges panel and she gives him a 10 while marking others up to 2 points lower than the other judges!” an irate viewer tweeted."
However Bez, stuck up for his former colleagues, telling The Sun : “For everybody, we're all in the same boat. Everyone has to learn how to skate and that is such a hard skill to learn."
