Dancing on Ice's Bez just wants to 'get through without injury' after another fall

Dancing on Ice's Bez appeared on Lorraine this morning to talk of his experience on the show.

He has already suffered multiple injuries and nasty falls.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star is the first ever contestant of the dancing show to opt to wear a safety helmet due to the amount of time he spends on the floor after falling.

He had one particularly nasty trip up while practicing, which was caught on camera, and showed the helmet fly off his head.

But being accident prone doesn't break his spirit, as he told Scottish talk show host Lorraine: "It's such a fun show to do, I've enjoyed every moment of it up to now."

He explained that he has an unusual way of practicing for the show while at home.

He said: "I go to the bathroom because we've got a lino floor in the bathroom and I put my thermal socks on.

"I was in the mirror spinning around on the lino floor."

Lorraine replied jokingly as she said: "So there's no difference between that and skating?"

He went on to say that his professional skating partner was amazing as he added: "She has become a great friend as well."

Lorraine hinted that there will be an Indiana Jones routine coming up for him this weekend, as he replied: "It's such a fun routine that they've sorted out for me. It even makes me smile it's that much fun."

He confirmed that he will still be donning the crash helmet as he explained: "I'm so accident prone, and the ice is so slippy.

"I fell down the other day and landed on the only part I didn't have pants on, I couldn't believe it.

"The main thing for me is to get through it without injury."

While Bez might not be the most talented of ice skaters, he is still giving it his all and his fans are fully behind him.

Taking to Twitter viewers explained how much they like the Happy Mondays star.

Lucy said: "Bez is one of the most likeable humans on this planet #Lorraine."

Jamie said: "How can you not love Bez?! 'The ice is so slippy'#lorraine #bez #dancingonice."

Kellsey said: "I love bez #lorraine."

Lorraine airs on ITV weekdays at 9am
