Dancing on Ice's Ashley Banjo left wanting to change rules for Kimberly Wyatt as fans complain

Ashley Banjo declared he wanted to change the Dancing on Ice rules to give Kimberly Wyatt more than a 10 for her routine on Sunday night's show, as some fans accused the judges of over scoring.

The Pussycat Dolls star, while facing a backlash from some fans for her dance background, has been a front-runner from day one on the new series of the ITV show.

Her and professional skating partner Mark Hanretty have landed some great scores from the judges over the last few weeks and they were embroiled in a three way tie at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday, when they scored a perfect 40.

This week's theme was Torvill and Dean, with each of the remaining Dancing on Ice couples honouring a routine first made famous by the skating legends and former Winter Olympic champions.

Kimberly and Mark took to the rink to perform a dazzling routine to Puttin' on the Ritz and, clearly blown away by what he saw, Diversity founder Ashley promptly told Kimberley he wished he could give her 11, having awarded her and Mark a 10.

Giving his critique, former Britain's Got Talent champion Ashley said: "So effortless. Sometimes I wish I had a 11. That's how good it was.

"One of my favourite routines we've ever had on the show."

The fan reaction at home echoed the one in the studio, although some hit out at the scores.

One tweeted: "I’m sorry, but ITV’s new Supersavers advert needs to be the judges giving Kimberley Wyatt 40 after that.

A second posted: "It’s ridiculous how high they score Kimberley when she skates on her own for a max of 3 seconds per performance when everyone else does so much more lone skating."
