Dancing on Ice Fans Outraged as Viewers Cry “Fix” After Shock Elimination of Fifth Star

In a dramatic turn on ITV’s hit show Dancing on Ice, viewers were left in shock and dismay on Sunday evening when the fifth celebrity was voted off the program. The decision came after a nail-biting skate-off that saw two of the contestants, Charlie Brooks and Anton Ferdinand, battling it out for survival on the ice.

After all the contestants had showcased their routines in front of the panel of judges, it was revealed that Brooks and Ferdinand had landed in the dreaded bottom two. With tension mounting, the show returned to its signature skate-off segment where both stars were given one final opportunity to impress the judges in hopes of securing their place in the competition. In a unanimous decision by the panel, Anton Ferdinand was saved, leaving Charlie Brooks to exit the series as the fifth contestant eliminated.

The decision did not go down well with many loyal fans of the show. Social media platforms were abuzz with reactions, as viewers expressed their discontent and surprise over the outcome, reports the Mirror. One Twitter user succinctly summed up the sentiment by exclaiming: “#DancingOnIce What a fix.” Another follower added their two cents, remarking: “#dancingonice should of been Anton out again but hmmm.” The online debate intensified when another fan lamented, “Gutted that #Charlie is out loved her personality she should not have gone. #DancingonIce.”

Amid the chorus of criticism, some supporters offered heartfelt messages of encouragement. One such tweet read: “Very sorry to see you go, Charlie. Your improvement and increased confidence on the ice was a pure joy to watch. Sending so much love to you and to Eric.” However, not all feedback was positive. Another comment stated: “This series has been potentially the worst I have ever seen. So many surprising scores, contradicting comments, sending the best skaters home.. honestly it has been difficult to watch.” Yet another disgruntled viewer succinctly added: “Boooo fix #DancingOnIce.”

Despite the outpouring of criticism, Charlie Brooks handled her exit with admirable grace. In a candid moment discussing her experience on the show, she stated: “I’ve had the most amazing time, the right person went home. I was starting to fee slightly out of my depth and I’ve just loved every second.”

She also took a moment to extend her gratitude towards the team behind the scenes and praised her skating partner, adding: “Eric, who has been an absolute dream, so yeah, it’s been amazing. Thank you.” Show host Stephen Mulhern joined in the tribute, lauding her performance by saying: “Do you know something? You have been brilliant. Backstage, on the rink, you’re just a lovely person.” Both Brooks and her co-host Holly have expressed mutual admiration and hope to maintain their connection beyond the rink, marking another memorable chapter in this season’s rollercoaster of emotions.
