Dancing on Ice fans accuse Corrie's Sally Dynevor of 'just holding on' to Matt Evers

Loose Women viewers did not hold back on Thursday as soap star Sally Dynevor appeared on the panel alongside Matt Evers.

Sally, 58, is currently competing on this year's Dancing on Ice with professional skater Matt - but it seems not everyone is impressed with her performance.

During their interview on Loose Women, a clip of Sally and Matt, 45, skating last weekend was shown - and viewers quickly rushed to Twitter to comment.

"She DON'T skate....ffs...she just holds on !!!#loosewomen," one person claimed.

Another viewer tweeted: "Ah that woman that just held on in Dancing on Ice is on telly #loosewomen."

And a third wrote: "Oh so she isn't skating on her own yet. Why did she actually go on the show then. Oh out of safety zone. Is she the first woman to have skated. I only came to watch as I was having my lunch. I know I could have turned it off. #LooseWomen."

Chatting about her experience on the ice, Sally admitted that she is so worried about falling over.

"I like being up in the air but this weekend is going to be tricky because Matt's trying to get me to skate on my own and that's really scary," Sally admitted.

"And everyone is so good this year, so me just skating on my own for one minute is massive. I just don't want to fall over live on television, I think that's the terrifying thing," she continued.

The Coronation Street actress went on to say that she didn't sleep for three nights before the first episode.

"I was on fight or flight mode, I really was. I think Thursday night is the night when the nerves start to build and they get worse and worse as the weekend goes on," Sally said.

Charlene then asked her if it was more nerve-wracking skating or picking up her MBE, which she did on Wednesday, February 2.

"That was so much fun, I really enjoyed it, I just took in every moment," Sally replied.

"But it was amazing and everyone there was so lovely. Princess Anne gave me the award and said, 'what's it like being in Coronation Street for as long as you have?' and I said, 'I've really enjoyed every moment', and she said, 'that's a great attitude to have'."

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
