Disappointed Dancing On Ice fans have begged the show’s bosses to update the format after they were left ‘bored’ by Sunday night’s finale.
The final instalment of the ITV show saw Regan Gascoigne and Brendan Cole go head to head with an interpretation of Bolero as they battled it out to win first place.
The Bolero was the piece of music skated to by Judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean when they won gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. The orchestral piece by Maurice Ravel made the pair household names all around the world.
Show tradition has seen the last two finalists attempt to perform the iconic routine in a bid to win the top spot.
But it seems fans are less than impressed with seeing the same routine and the same finale format year in, year out.
Viewers took to Twitter to beg Dancing on Ice producers to shake things up and get rid of the Bolero.
One fed up viewer wrote: "I think it's time to drop the #Bolero on #DancingOnIce it's getting old now ... We could do with something fresh."
"Is anyone else bored with bloody Bolero?" a second asked, while a third suggested even the judges must be fed up with seeing the routine.
"I know they won the winter Olympics with it but surely even Torville and Dean must get a bit bored with the Bolero..." they quipped.
Another added: ”Bolero again same dance last 15 years or something, not even special now."
A fifth said: "F*** me, they’re still banging on about the Bolero. #DancingOnIce."
Following the performances, Regan was crowned the champ of this year's series.
Speaking after their win was announced, Regan was mainly speechless but was able to admit he couldn't believe he'd won.
Kimberly, Regan and Brendan being in the final caused some controversy, as they all had professional dancing backgrounds.
Regan is a trained dancer, Brendan appeared on Strictly Come Dancing as a professional for several years and Kimberly is best known for being part of the Pussycat Dolls.
However, all three have denied it is a "fix" that they're all there instead of any other skaters.
"If we were all the same, would that not make for a really dull show?" Brendan said as he defended fix claims, "It just so happened that the three of us have got dance experience and we are all now pushing each other to do the most incredible television."
