Dana White makes telling Tyson Fury comments ahead of Dillian Whyte heavyweight blockbuster

Dana White has spoken of his admiration for Tyson Fury while stating that he's clearly the best heavyweight boxer in the world. The Gypsy King is finally set to face Whyte for the WBC heavyweight championship after the fight was mandated, having encountered significant delays.

An agreement was finally reached and the countdown to the fight is on - which will be Fury 's first in the UK since 2019. Dillian Whyte did not show up to a recent press conference, with Fury's promoter Frank Warren berating Whyte's lack of professionalism in the build-up to the contest at Wembley Stadium on April 23. But Fury said he was unfazed by Whyte's no show - adding that he does not care about his opponents antics, as he stated that this would be the 'Tyson Fury roadshow'.

Fury is coming off the back of a trilogy of fights with one of the most dangerous knockout artists in the history of the sport in Deontay Wilder, defeating him twice while drawing the first - which many feel Fury was robbed of. And after the bouts, it's seemingly a consensus opinion that he is the top heavyweight in the world.

And this is something that UFC president Dana White agrees with, speaking about Fury's accomplishments to Sky Sports. He said: "He's the best. In the Wilder fights when he took those shots, got back up, won the fight, knocked him out. He's the best. There's no denying that he's the best in the world and he's finally getting the respect and credit that he's due. I'm happy for him because he's a good dude.

"In boxing, the best have to fight the best. When you get all the best guys in the world fighting each other, people want to see it. I truly believe that Tyson Fury is one of those guys who is willing to fight everybody."

Fury has been frustrated with Whyte's lack of promotion, giving him a new nickname in the process. He added that he's very confident of knocking the Body Snatcher out, before going into retirement - then potentially facing the UFC's Francis Ngannou in a crossover bout in 2023.

White will be in the UK this weekend for UFC London at the O2 Arena.
