Dana White joins UFC star in drinking beer from a shoe in 'shoey' celebration

UFC boss Dana White joined Tai Tuivasa to drink beer in the heavyweight's trademark 'shoey' celebration after his recent win.

Tuivasa picked up the biggest win of his career by knocking out Derrick Lewis in the co-main event of UFC 271 last weekend.

Fan favourite Tuivasa celebrated the win by getting on top of the cage and doing a 'shoey' out of social media star SteveWillDoIt's shoe, much to the delight of the Houston crowd.

The 28-year-old will likely jump up to No.3 in the heavyweight rankings by picking up his fifth consecutive win.

Tuivasa couldn't convince White to do a 'shoey' after his previous wins, but the UFC boss finally gave in last weekend.

“He f****** did alright, actually, he was fine,” Tuivasa said at the UFC 271 post-fight press conference.

"He downed the whole thing too. He did well. I feel good - even better that the boss did a shoey out of my ShoeyVasa. It’s a win-win for me."

Tuivasa has capitalised on the fame his 'shoey' celebration has received by creating his own product called the 'ShoeyVasa', which White can be seen drinking out of in the video.

The 'ShoeyVasa' product costs $45 (Australian dollars) and is a beer bong in the shape of a shoe.

Tuivasa may be loved for his outgoing personality, entertaining ring-walks and hilarious celebrations, but the Australian also has one of the longest active winning streaks in the heavyweight division.

His UFC future looked bleak in 2019 after losing consecutive fights to Junior dos Santos, Blagoy Ivanov and Sergey Spivak.

Since then, Tuivasa has won all five fights by knockout with all of those wins taking place in two rounds or less.

And Tuivasa said whilst he doesn't mind being the centre of attention for his celebrations, he knows he is beating the best fighters in his division.

"I don't mind being the guy who drinks p*** out of shoes and this and that. I suppose everyone focuses on that, but at the end of the day I'm knocking the best guys out," he added.

"I've got a great team around me now, just guys who have the best interest for me and f***, we're doing alright. We're knocking out the best in the world.

"To be honest, I don't even know who the f*** is in the top five. I don't even watch fighting. I heard there's the Stipe's and the Ciryl Gane's.

"This is my job, I rock up, I prepare with my team and we punch on."
