Puka Nacua didn’t have a record-setting season like he had as a rookie in 2023, but he proved in only 11 games that he’s one of the best receivers in the NFL. He caught 79 passes for 990 yards and three touchdowns, improving his per-game averages in receptions, yards and just about every other metric.
After what was a fantastic season, Nacua got a shoutout from UFC president Dana White on Instagram. He congratulated Nacua on “another amazing season” and said “we are all so happy for you!”
You can see his message for Nacua below, which was a cool gesture from the head of UFC.
It may seem random for Nacua to get a shoutout from the UFC president, but he has ties to the White family. They actually go way back to when Nacua was playing youth football with White’s son, Dana, in Las Vegas before moving to Utah.
Whtie even said Nacua “grew up in our house” during an interview last year, which shows just how close the two families are – hence, the nickname Uncle Dana.
“My kids grew up with Puka. He grew up in our house,” White said.
