Dana White, 53, shows off ripped abs after being told he had 10 years to live

53-year-old UFC president Dana White has shown off his lean physique just months after he was given 10 years to live.

Having suffered with mobility issues and health problems such as sleep apnea, White contacted Gary Brecka of 10X Health Systems, a human biologist who estimates peoples life expectancy based on their blood and DNA samples. The UFC boss had a big wake-up call when Brecka gave him just over 10 years to live, so White took his advice and begun 'phase one' of his programme.

"They do these tests on you and they know when you're going to die. I became obsessed, he gave me 10.4 years [to live] and it completely changed my life," White said on the Balancing Chaos podcast. "He sat down for three hours, walked me through my blood work and told me everything that was wrong with me. He also told me what was wrong with my parents and he was right about everything. By the time I was done talking to him, I was absolutely blown away.

"He said, 'if you keep doing what you're doing right now and you stay on this trajectory, you've got 10.4 years'. I was like, 'f***'. When we did [the tests], I was 52, so it took me to 62. He said, 'you do exactly what I tell you do for 10 weeks and I guarantee you I'll change your life', so I was in. My legs were so f***ed up that I couldn't bend over to put my socks on in the morning, my sleep apnea was so bad that I would wake up in the middle of the night and throw up."

White is just over three months into the programme and has already experienced life-changing benefits from it. After years of being recommended continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines by sleep experts, White said he no longer snores anymore and that his mobility issues have gone, as he is able to put his socks in the morning without any pain.

He added: "I was borderline diabetic, so all of this crazy s*** that he tells me... Now, I'm like 13 weeks in and I'm on the second phase of what he does, I don't snore anymore. According to my wife - who used to have to sleep with earplugs, and I'd wake up three times a night gasping for air - she doesn't hear a peep out of me anymore. My triglycerides went from 764 to under 300. I sleep seven or eight hours a night now, but the most important thing is I feel like I'm 35 years old again."
