Manchester United brought nothing like the detail Daniel James has experienced in training at Leeds United since arriving last August.
The winger has been speaking to BBC Radio Leeds about the leap he took from Old Trafford to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
James played 74 times for the Red Devils across the three campaigns he had there, playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer throughout his spell there.
Asked about the big differences he has found in training since making the move to West Yorkshire, James credited Marcelo Bielsa with transforming his perception of the game.
“The detail is second to none,” he said. “Everything is so fine and detailed. The one-to-one meetings and everyone’s obviously got their individual clips to look at, which he goes through with you.
“The detail of it. I’ve learnt so much here already and I’ve still got so much to learn, but he’s been absolutely brilliant since I’ve come in.
“There’s times where he’s had to reiterate things, but there’s stuff in the games you do which maybe doesn’t get seen, as you said, off the ball I find myself doing without even thinking anymore because we do it in training every single day.
“I’ve taken so much out of it.”
James has been playing as a centre forward with the Whites amid an injury crisis in recent weeks.
He will hope to retain his place in the side next Wednesday at Aston Villa when some of his team-mates will hopefully return from injury.
