It’s OK, Dan Campbell! Sometimes, you’re an NFL head coach and you’re so deep into the game that your team is winning that you don’t notice your quarterback had a perfect night.
That was the case for the Detroit Lions head coach, who didn’t note that Jared Goff hit a perfect 18-for-18 throws during the team’s 42-29 blowout of the Seattle Seahawks. Because when asked about Goff’s night, Campbell replied,
“Well, I just gave the game ball to somebody else, so I feel awful right now.”
He went on to say he knew Goff was good but not perfect. This is too funny:
Reporter: “Can you talk about Jared Goff’s performance? He was a perfect 18-for-18.”
Dan Campbell: “Well, I just gave the game ball to somebody else – so I feel awful right now.” 😂😂😂
