President Donald Trump recently announced that Dan Bongino will be the next deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his confidence in Bongino, highlighting his love and passion for the country. Bongino, who holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the City University of New York and an MBA from Penn State, has an impressive background in law enforcement, having served in the New York Police Department and the United States Secret Service.
Trump praised Bongino's willingness to give up his successful podcasting career to serve in this new role, emphasizing the importance of bringing fairness, justice, law, and order back to America. The president also mentioned the collaboration between Bongino, United States Attorney General Pam Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel in achieving these goals.
Following the announcement, Bongino expressed his gratitude to President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

Director Patel, who was recently sworn in as the ninth FBI director after a narrow senate vote, has a history of national security roles in the Trump administration. Despite being a vocal critic of investigations into Trump and election fraud claims, Patel assured during his confirmation hearing that he would not engage in political retribution against agents involved in sensitive cases.
However, Patel's confirmation comes at a time when the FBI's activities and leadership decisions are under scrutiny for potential politicization or retaliation. His previous roles as chief of staff to acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller and senior advisor to the acting director of national intelligence have raised questions about his approach to leading the bureau.
