Damien Duff has declared the World Cup final the 'best final ever after a rip roaring 120 minutes in Qatar.
Argentina led for the majority for the 90 minutes with Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria scoring first half goals.
But Kylian Mbappe scored a penalty followed by a stunning equaliser to bring the the game to extra time.
Lionel Messi scored what looked to be the winner in extra time but France won a late penalty which Mbappe converted to complete his hattrick.
Argentina would go on to win the penalty shootout in a tense end to a brilliant game.
And Duff believes it's the greatest final of all time.
Speaking on RTE he said: "Probably the best final ever with the best player ever in it. The stars are aligned.
"Absolutely they deserve to win it.
"They had an edge and a willingness to die for each other. If you could bottle it you'd make a lot of money.
"You wouldn't wish it on anyone, what a way to lose a final. You just felt there was too much youth for the penalty takers for France.
"Hats off to France in normal time for their style of play, styles make fights. What a final they played."
