In the dog days of the sports calendar, this year’s NBA Summer League has taken on a life of its own. From Oklahoma City to Detroit, we’ve already seen some top 2022 draft picks show out. The exhibition action might not matter to anyone in the standings per se, but it’s still good low-stakes fun.
This year’s Summer League has apparently been so intriguing thus far that some established NBA players decided to take time out of their off-seasons to go to Las Vegas and watch the league’s next generation.
Who, you might ask? Oh, I don’t know. Do guys like Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan ring a bell?

Here’s a rundown of other NBA figures’ confirmed appearances on the courts in Vegas:
- Matt Barnes
- Kyle Kuzma
- Obi Toppin
- Jusuf Nurkić
- Anfernee Simons
- Immanuel Quickley
- Jalen Green
- Gary Payton II
- Jalen Suggs
- Tyrese Maxey
If these guys’ support is any indication, the NBA is truly a tight-knit brotherhood.
