Damian Lewis has confirmed he is dating Alison Mosshart after the pair were pictured together at a recent summer party.
The 51-year-old Homeland star seemed in high spirits as he was photographed at the London event alongside The Kills rockstar, Mosshart, 43.
The actor’s new romance comes 14 months after the death of his wife Helen McCrory.
In their latest public appearance the duo attended The House of KOKO’s inaugural Summer Party in London this week.
They cheerfully posed for pictures together and wrapped their arms around each other.
Lewis and Mosshart have also reportedly been spotted together on multiple occasions in recent weeks, fuelling speculation there was a blossoming romance between them.
Mosshart is an American musician and co-founder of the rockband The Kills. She also fronts another band called The Dead Weather.
Last month, Lewis also shared a picture on his Twitter page of Mosshart on stage as he revealed how much he “loved” the band.
A representative for Lewis and Mosshart has been approached by The Standard for comment.
It comes after Mosshart’s mother gushed about how excited she was for the new couple.
She told Mail Online: “I don’t know how much flak I’m going to get for all of this but of course we are excited for her.
“They have mutual friends. I don’t know exactly how they met but I’m fine with it. If she’s happy, we are happy. I’m yet to meet him but certainly I’d like to.”
Lewis’ blossoming romance with the rockstar comes just over a year after he confirmed his wife of 14 years had died following a battle with breast cancer.
The late actor was best known for starring in roles such as Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders and Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter.
Alongside a heartfelt tribute at the time, Lewis also revealed to The Sunday Times how his wife had urged him to find love again after she was gone.
He explained: “She said to us from her bed, ‘I want Daddy to have girlfriends, lots of them, you must all love again, love isn’t possessive, but you know, Damian, try at least to get though the funeral without snogging someone’.”
