Dalbeattie Star are aiming for back to back league wins on Saturday when they face Gala Fairydean Rovers.
The Islecroft side defeated Broomhill last time out to end a three game losing streak.
Now they’re looking for another three points as they bid to cement their place in the top half of the Lowland League.
Gaffer Ritchie Maxwell said: “It’s a big game for us. We’re close in terms of league position and it’s important we can put a wee gap between us and them in the top 10.
“We had a win last time out so hopefully we can put a wee run of wins together.”
Star had been due to face Lochmaben in the South of Scotland Challenge Cup on Saturday, with the game switched to Palmerston to protect the Islecroft playing surface.
However, a coronavirus outbreak in the opposition camp saw the game postponed.
“We had the weekend off and hopefully we can have a bounce game this week to make up for missing out on Saturday.”
