Dalbeattie Primary recently held its annual sports days.
The P1-P3 sports were held on a day which turned wet but the majority of the races were run with success and enjoyment. Children enjoyed taking part with a great number of individual and team races.
They were watched by parents and grandparents and thanks goes to them and their children for their patience and resilience around the weather.
The P4-P7 sports day was a fantastic occasion with the weather being kind. There were great races and sporting attitude with a great team spirit being shown by everyone. Family members joined the fun in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
Thanks go to the sports leaders from Dalbeattie High, the school staff and the primary’s own sports captains for helping to co-ordinate equipment for the races.

Boys 300m – winner: Aulay Webster; runner-up: Robbie Wykes.
Girls 300m – winner: Zara Williamson; runner-up: Daisy Gilmour.
Girls champion: Zara Williamson; runner-up: Maisy Pipe.
Boys champion: Finn Harris; runners-up: Aulay Webster and Robbie Wykes.
Winning house team: Dalmun.
