A young Dalbeattie family has been left “scared and frightened” after police raided a flat in their building.
Officers broke down the door to the property at 6pm on Friday when “a warrant was executed”.
And they forced entry again at 2.30am on the following Monday.
Louise Keegan claims she, husband Matthew and their three young children have suffered “absolute hell” for a month.
And they are now pleading with social landlords Wheatley Homes South to move them elsewhere.
Louise said: “We were all in the living room finishing our tea on Friday when then a terrible banging went through the whole house.
“They are paper-thin walls and it seemed like an earthquake. I went to the door and could see loads of police there.
“There were four or five unmarked white cars parked up the street with officers coming out of them. Everybody was hanging out of their windows watching what was happening.”
Louise, 28, added: “I have two young babies, a one-and-half-year-old, a four-and-a-half month-old and a six-year-old. They are all having to endure this and it’s not on.
“My children are scared and frightened – it has been absolute hell.
“My wee lassie ran into a cupboard and when the police battered the door down. She was shaking and crying.”
Louise had to phone the police in the early hours of Monday after another disturbance.
She said: “We were all woken up at 1.30am. Somebody was trying to kick the door down. I went out and got met with loads of abuse from two people who were on their mobile phones.
“When I told them I had phoned the police they disappeared. Two officers arrived at 2.30am.”
She added: “Wheatley Homes South have a duty of care towards us and to protect my family, especially our wee children.
“I am pleading with them to move us.
“They have given me priority points for housing but there’s a lack of three bedroom houses for families around.
“We have no sleep – I’m struggling to get up and take my daughter to school.
“Most mornings I’m having to ask friends to walk her up as I’m absolutely exhausted.
“There was banging and arguing all night again last night – it’s been a whole month.”
A police spokesman said: “I can confirm that in the early evening of March 10 a warrant was executed at a property in Dalbeattie.
“Officers also entered the property in the early hours of March 13.”
The spokesman added that the man was given “a police recorded warning” after Friday’s raid.
A Wheatley Homes spokesperson said: “We take all claims of antisocial behaviour very seriously and we’re doing all we can to support this family.
“Our housing team is working with local police to investigate claims of antisocial behaviour and we’ll take appropriate action.”
