Dak Prescott Says He Thinks Cowboys Should’ve Scored 50 on Eagles

The Cowboys handily beat the Eagles, 33–13, in an NFC East showdown on Sunday night, but Dak Prescott was left feeling like he could’ve done more.

The Dallas quarterback completed 24 of 39 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns, but he lamented a first-quarter series in which he threw six incompletions.

Overall, Prescott thinks the Cowboys offense could’ve lit up the scoreboard if he had performed at his best.

“I’m my biggest critic,” Prescott said, via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports. “As I talk about my performance tonight, it was good enough to win, but I hold myself to super high standards. If I play my best game, we’re putting up 50 out there. I’m going to keep pushing for that.”

The Cowboys haven’t scored 50 points in a game this season, but they have eclipsed 40 points five times this year. Dallas most recently topped the 50-point plateau in a 54–19 win over the Colts in Week 13 of last season.

Despite Prescott’s critical thoughts on his performance on Sunday, he currently holds the shortest odds (+185) to win the 2023 NFL MVP award, according to SI Sportsbook. He’s thrown a league-high 28 touchdown passes so far this season to just six interceptions.
