Daisy Ridley, known for her role in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi,' recently disclosed her diagnosis of Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder affecting the thyroid gland's hormone production. The 32-year-old actress shared in an interview with Women’s Health that she discovered her condition after experiencing symptoms like hot flashes, fatigue, a racing heart rate, weight loss, and hand tremors. Ridley initially attributed these symptoms to stress from a film role but sought medical advice when they persisted.

Upon consulting an endocrinologist, Ridley learned that Graves’ disease often manifests as feeling 'tired but wired' due to the accelerated bodily functions. While there is no cure for the condition, Ridley manages it with daily medication and dietary adjustments, including reducing gluten intake. She also incorporates holistic practices like infrared saunas, cryotherapy, massages, and acupuncture into her routine to prioritize her well-being.

Aside from Graves’ disease, Ridley has been open about her struggles with other health issues. She revealed developing stomach ulcers from the pressures of her 'Star Wars' role and also copes with endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Despite these challenges, Ridley remains committed to her health and emphasizes the importance of self-care and holistic wellness practices.
