The summer riding season is upon us. Yes, I can still see snow from my kitchen window, but the trees are budding, the songbirds are singing, and tracks around the country are gearing up to accept all manner of two-wheeled hellions. And by the time the mercury rises to where you won't freeze your ass off flying down their front straights, those tracks will be ready to see you blaze new personal bests.
Your gear from last season, however, has likely seen better days.
Either you've fallen and scraped it up, you've found yourself out of spec in terms of current safety certification, or they've been eaten by moths all winter long. Those dusty-ass leathers aren't going to do the trick when you're flying at 150 mph around Willow Springs. Luckily for you, Dainese just released three new pieces dedicated to those who worship the track just in time to break them in before hitting the pavement.
Your tires hitting the pavement, not you. Well...

The new Racing Collection from Dainese includes three pieces; a full 1-piece suit, new track-specific gloves, and from the brand's sister company AGV, a racier helmet perfect for keeping your noggin safe and sound if the worst were to happen. Throw them all together and you're basically just a pair of boots away from slaying whatever track you love.
Headlining the list is Dainese's updated Laguna Seca 6 1-piece racing suit. According to the brand, it's made from the rather hysterically-named Tutu cowhide. In reality, though, the Tutu cowhide is 1.2mm thick and features perforation to optimize airflow while remaining unbelievably strong and durable in the event of a crash.
According to the brand, the Laguna Seca 6 features EN 17092 AAA safety standard certification, with Level 2 composite protectors on the shoulders, elbows, and knees, and the brand's Pro-Shape 2.0 Level 1 armor around your hips. There's also interchangeable aluminum shoulder inserts, steel elbow inserts, and Dainese's adjustable RSS 4.0 Elbow Sliders. You also get swappable RSS 4.0 Knee Sliders, which according to the brand, make for "quick replacements without adjusting positioning."
The whole system is also made to work with the brand's Boot-In system with its Axial 2 boots. It'll also run you $1,700, which honestly isn't all that bad given the level of safety you get.

Dainese will also sell you a set of Fiero Metal Gloves made of super durable goatskin. Basically, they were engineered with the suit above to give "unmatched" performance and abrasion resistance so you could give it your all while flying down the track. There are fewer notes on the gloves compared to the suit because, well, they're gloves. These will set you back $370, which ain't cheap, but they're made for going fast, looking dope, and protecting your fingers.
And then there's the helmet.

Now, I'm a bit of a helmet lover. In my office, I've hung up most of my collection of helmets behind my desk. And I have a few from every manufacturer, including an AGV. The latest, however, is an updated version of the Pista GP RR, which is essentially a carbon copy—pun intended—of the helmet worn by racers in MotoGP. Not only does it exceed ECE22.06 certification standards, but it also meets the new FIM homologation standards, which means you could take this baby racing if you wanted to.
It's also incredibly adjustable, with the brand's 360° Adaptive Fit system allowing riders to tailor it to their specific heads. You also get a hydration kit, a smoked shield, vent covers, and a tear-off kit. Likewise, the rear spoiler for better aerodynamics is removable if you want only a bit of downforce on your neck. But, since you're getting a race-ready helmet, you're going to pay a race-ready price. The 2025 AGV Pista GP RR will set you back an eye-watering $1,650. That said, it's ready to race and will absolutely protect your brain if you fly off your bike at 160mph.
I'd personally love one, but I don't have that kind of cash and I'm not a racy person myself. How about y'all? Are you ready to splurge on some new Dainese and AGV gear?
