A man has been charged with murder after a 23-year-old man died from stab injuries in Dagenham, east London.
Dagenham man Frankie Burletson, 24, has been charged with killing 23-year-old Haseeb Bhatti in Flamstead Road as part of the incident on Saturday, April 20.
The Metropolitan Police was called at 1.30am to reports of a 50-year-old man suffering stab injuries in Rothwell Gardens in Dagenham.
The unnamed 50-year-old’s injuries were not life threatening and he has been discharged from hospital.
Officers were responding to this incident when they learned of Mr Bhatti’s injuries. The police found the second victim in nearby Flamstead Road and he died at the scene.
Burletson was arrested on Wednesday and charged with the murder of Mr Bhatti as well as grievous bodily harm in relation to the 50-year-old.
He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on the Friday morning and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
