Notts County ended a five-match winless run in all competitions with an excellent 2-1 victory at in-form Dagenham & Redbridge which catapulted them back into the National League play-off zone in seventh place.
Alex Lacey’s header and an own goal by Will Wright gave the Magpies all three points as they cast off recent illness and injury setbacks to register their first win this month.
Here is how the Notts players rated in the match..
Vitezslav Jaros: Was man of the match in the defeat at Stockport in midweek and could have been again here after making some stunning saves. 8
Jayden Richardson: A massive threat on the right all game and it was his devilish cross which created Notts’ winner. 9
Richard Brindley: Returned from injury and was a reassuring presence in defence but had to be subbed at half-time. 7
Alex Lacey: Played in midweek when ill but looked more like his normal composed self here and scored with a powerful header. Subbed at half-time. 7
Connell Rawlinson: Like Lacey, not fully fit against Stockport but well on his way to a full recovery judging by this performance despite being caught out for Dagenham’s opener. 7

Adam Chicksen: Tried to get forward but opportunities limited by a lively Daggers attack. 7
Frank Vincent: In and out of the team at present but if he can produce this form regularly he will be impossible to leave out. 8
Harry Arter: Much is expected of the experienced midfielder who joined Notts on loan from Nottingham Forest on Thursday and showed that he will be a major influence as his fitness improves. 7
Matt Palmer: After a frustrating game at Stockport, celebrated his call up to the England C squad by returning to his all-action best. 7
Kairo Mitchell: The striker has shown flashes of what he can produce when coming off the bench and relished the chance to get a rare start but still unable to find the net. 7
Kyle Wootton: A real warhorse up front and does so much work that goes under the radar but, like Mitchell, needs a goal. 7
Elisha Sam (for Lacey 45) : Good to see the big striker back in the squad as he was in great form before illness struck. 7
Dion Kelly-Evans (for Brindley 45): Clearly behind on-loan Nottingham Forest wing back Richardson in the pecking order but his aggressive style always ruffles opponents. 7
Ed Francis: Seems to be a fight between him and Vincent for a midfield berth and he did his cause no harm with a solid performance after coming on. 7
