Dads dream of having control over the TV this Father's Day

Everyone knows which is dad’s seat by the TV – and new research shows just how much dear old pa's love their TV time. The poll from TV streaming compamy Roku reveals that over half of male respondents with at least one child under the age of 18 said that they’d Iike “full control over the TV remote at all times”.

Mike Duin, from Roku, said: “The discussion around what dads want seems to be revisited every year for Father’s Day, so we decided to ask them directly. I love my telly time, so having full control over the entertainment I watch sounds like a great gift!”

For those who seek to splurge a bit more this year, however, the research also found that one in three (33%) dads would like to have a new, second television for completely uninterrupted watching. Another third (33%) said they would “get a bigger TV” when asked if they would change anything about their current situation surrounding television.

TVs powered with the award-wining Roku OS are available in a wide selection of sizes from 43” to 65” starting at £139.
