Dad's Christmas sandwich hack with Yorkshire puddings leaves stomachs 'rumbling'

If you indulged in Christmas dinner yesterday, your fridge is now likely packed with leftovers.

The veritable feast of extra food calls for the best sandwich you'll have all year. Boxing Day is prime time for slapping turkey, stuffing and ham between two slices of bread to enjoy a tasty leftover sarnie.

But one man has taken his seasonal sandwich to another level - by forging the bread for two fluffy Yorkshire puddings.

While smaller than the traditional loaf slices, one social media user has demonstrated how much can actually fit between the roast dinner staple.

The tasty snack is the creation of TikToker @DaddyMayCooks - a dad and cooking enthusiast who shares meals that he makes for his family with one million followers.

At the request of one commenter, the parent explained how he will be using his leftovers on Boxing Day.

In a clip shared to the social media platform, the influencer grabbed two Yorkshire puddings, before adding a dollop of mashed potato, a spoonful of carrots and peas, plus turkey with stuffing.

Finally, he places one more scoop of mashed potato, finishing the whole thing off with some gravy and another Yorkshire pudding before giving it a go in the toaster grill.

For extra flavour, he then dips the crispy meal into a small side of gravy which serves as an extra dipping sauce.

The perfectly toasted sandwich left viewers' mouths watering.

"Got my tummy rumbling. Good work mate looks… Delicious," wrote one hungry commenter.

Many agreed that the final product looks delicious. One comment read: "This looks and probably tastes fantastic," while another said: "To he honest that looks amazing that gravy is perfect well done."

One person who tested it for themselves confirmed this, saying: "I had some leftover roast dinner so I showed my mum this and I had it for tea it was lovely thanks mate."
