Tributes are pouring in for a Galway father-of-three who died in a boating tragedy.
Niall Quinn, from Killeenaran, Kilcolgan on the coast of Galway, leaves behind two sons and a daughter following his sudden death on Monday, as well as their mother, and his brothers and sister.
He was an accomplished sailor and was a member of the Galway Bay Sailing Club, with many members of the club writing tributes to their 'sailing friend'. A funeral service for Niall will take place on Friday at Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.

The community in Galway is in mourning and many sent their condolences to his family following the tragic accident.
One couple wrote: "To Aonghus, Marcus, Meadbh and all the Quinn family, our most sincere sympathies at the passing of our dear sailing friend who we spent many happy days with at GBSC and at sea around the Irish coast over the years. He will be very sadly missed by us all. Thinking of you at this very sad time."
Another wrote: "Deepest sympathies to Aonghus, Marcus, Méabh and all the family on your sorrowful loss. Niall's intelligence, humour, and encouragement of others to give sailing a go regardless of age, background, or ability, will long stand in memory."
A third wrote: "Sorry to hear of Niall's death. Was his nearest neighbour in Killeenaran, He was always there to help if needed. Sailed to Scotland with him. Sorry to hear of your loss."
Niall's death notice on Rip.ie reads: "Quinn, Niall (Kileenaran, Ballindereen, Co. Galway), 13 June 2022) tragically, in a boating accident.
"Mourned by his sons, Aonghus and Marcus, his daughter, Méabh, their mother Jacinta, his sister Brid and his brothers, Conall, Padraig, Diarmuid, his many relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Roibeard and Kathleen, and his brother, Ian.
"Reposing at his home in Kileenaran Kilcolgan this Thursday evening from 4.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m
"Niall’s cortege will begin its journey from his home on Friday at 12.30 p.m. for a service at Shannon Crematorium at 2.00 p.m."
