Dad of seven died suddenly at the age of 43

Tributes have been paid to a “kind hearted man with a big heart” who has died suddenly. Anthony Allport, from Colwyn Bay, passed away on March 17.

Mr Allport, who was a father of seven and a grandafther of three, worked as a security guard across North Wales. He died after a sudden heart attack at the age of 43, reports North Wales Live. You can get the latest WalesOnline newsletters e-mailed to you directly for free by signing up here.

His daughter Shannon said: "Dad was from Birmingham and grew up in Sutton Coldfield up until meeting my mum, when they made the move from Birmingham to North Wales. Doctors advised them that three of their children with life limited illnesses - Cystic Fibrosis - would have a better quality of life closer to the sea air. “He worked as security across North Wales for many years. He worked through the pandemic at the vaccination centre and at Aldi where he is best remembered from.

“He worked as a security guard for Llandudno vaccination centre, Aldi, Morrisons and various pubs and bars in the Conwy county area, including the Station Hotel in Colwyn Bay and Wetherspoons in Llandudno. He did whatever was offered to him [as agency staff] but left his agency to work with Aldi full time.”

A fundraising page has been set up by Mr Allport’s family, who are planning a special send-off where everyone will be welcome to pay their respects. His daughter Shannon added: "He made a huge impact to many people's lives and will always be remembered amongst his friends and family. Funeral arrangements are still being made but anyone is welcome. I will update anyone who would like to pay their respects once a date has been set. Thank you and rest in peace Dad.”
