Dad 'dives for cover' after firework 'posted through letter box'

A dad “dived for cover” after a firework was reportedly posted through his letter box.

Taking to social media, he said luckily his children and dog were "out of harm’s way" when the incident happened in Halton Brook, Runcorn. He, meanwhile, had to “dive for cover”.

A security camera clip accompanying the Facebook post showed six people walking down a path. One of them can be seen to take a detour to the property holding a narrow object in their left hand and a small item in their right, which they appear to hold towards the narrow object as they disappear from view under an open-porch roof.
