Cyriel Dessers is ready to pen a long-term deal at Rangers with a medical booked in ahead of his switch from Italy, according to a report.
The 28-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract when he joins from Cremonese with the Ibrox side paying just over £4million to get the deal over the line. The latest update comes from Belgium where the hitman played for Genk before his switch to his current club.
Michael Beale has been busy with his summer rebuild and already brought five new faces into the club. Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland, Sam Lammers and Adballah Sima have all committed to the new era with Dessers ready to become addition number six according to journalist Sven Claes, who is followed by well-respected transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. He wrote: "Cyriel Dessers (28) will leave Cremonese and sign a 4-year contract at Glasgow Rangers. Medicals booked today and tomorrow. Fee: €5m."

It comes as the Daily Record report that Feyenoord striker Danilo WANTS to make the move to Ibrox.
The Light Blues had an opening bid reported to be in the £3.5million region booted out by the Eredivise champions who are looking for closer to £5m. But the Brazilian has now told his club he wants to make the move to Glasgow with a fee needing agreed between the two parties in order to make that wish a reality.
Beale admitted over the weekend that he still wants to bolster his squad with at least THREE more arrivals as they battle it out for the Scottish Premiership and aim to reach the Champions League group stages once again with two rounds of qualifying to negotiate.
The likes of Jonathan Panzo and Jose Cifuentes have also been linked with Ibrox.
The Ibrox gaffer said: "Everyone felt we wanted new faces and freshness and we’ve got that. I’m pleased to say it won’t stop there - there’s maybe two or three more that we’re also looking recruit over the summer."
