A cyclist suffered serious injuries after crashing in a key road close to Leeds city centre.
The 34-year-old man remains in hospital after crashing at about 5.40pm on Monday (January 17) at the junction of Blenheim Walk and Blackman Lane.
He is believed to have been riding away from the city centre on the footpath when he fell from the bike. No other vehicle was involved.

Blenheim Walk, close to Leeds University and the Ring Road, was closed by police following the incident.
The street was taped off from just past the traffic lights opposite the university down to where the road connects to Woodhouse Lane, not far from where it joins the Ring Road.
The cordon was under West Yorkshire Police guard with at least one officer and a police van.

The force is now looking for witnesses to come forward, to confirm the cyclist fell off the bicycle and no other vehicles were involved.
