Cyclist rushed to hospital after being 'hit by car' as busy city road closed

A CYCLIST has been rushed to hospital following a crash with a car in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to reports of an incident involving a cyclist and a car at around 4.20pm on Monday on Hyndland Road.

A 57-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment.

The condition of the man is currently unknown.

Police officers have closed the street between Hughenden Road and Great Western Road following the crash.

Police have said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
