A cyclist who was involved in a horror crash on a busy road in Manchester over the Bank Holiday weekend has now died.
Police were called to Wilbraham Road in the Whalley Range area on Sunday, August 28 at around 2.30pm, after an Audi A3 was involved in a collision with a cyclist on the carriageway heading towards Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
On Monday, police said two cyclists had been taken to hospital for treatment, where one was in a critical condition. Sadly, today they have confirmed one of the cyclists has since died.

Photos from the scene showed a badly damaged Audi, while yellow evidence markers could also be seen in the road. Wilbraham Road was closed for more than five hours following the crash.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses. Officers say they are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage from the area in the moments before the crash, or anyone who thinks they may have seen the black Audi A3 around the time of the accident.
Speaking on Sunday after the crash, a jogger said: "This road is always really busy and cars often speed down here or overtake. It's a really popular route for cyclists and people who live in Chorlton and Didsbury."
Sgt Phil Shaw from the unit said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family, who now request privacy as they try to come to terms with the loss of their loved one. Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are currently following all line of enquiries. Anyone with any information should contact us on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident 2010 of 29/08/22.”
The 37-year-old driver was arrested, and on Monday GMP said he was being questioned by officers.
Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident 2010 of August 28. Footage can be submitted at gmp.police.uk or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
