Tesla's Cybertruck is facing yet another major recall after federal regulators found that a key exterior panel—held together only with glue—could detach while driving, impacting more than 46,000 vehicles.

The Cybertruck, Tesla's highly anticipated all-electric pickup, has been plagued with production delays, quality concerns, and multiple recalls since its official launch in late 2023, Gizmodo reported.

This latest recall marks the eighth for the Cybertruck, highlighting ongoing manufacturing flaws and raising concerns about Tesla's ability to deliver a reliable product.

On Thursday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall requiring Tesla to repair a stainless steel trim panel that could detach due to adhesive failure, posing a road hazard.

Unlike many Tesla recalls that can be fixed remotely through software updates, this issue requires owners to bring their vehicles into service centers for repairs. The problem, which affects every Cybertruck manufactured between November 2023 and February 2025, has already resulted in 151 warranty claims.

Tesla has admitted that the root cause may be related to the truck's unconventional use of stainless steel, which could be affecting the adhesive's durability in cold weather.

The recall adds to growing dissatisfaction among customers and investors, with Tesla's stock price continuing to decline amid quality concerns.
