'Cut it off' - Jurgen Klopp left stunned and aims cheeky jibe at Liverpool star over new look

Liverpool have been continuing their preparations for their game against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been training at their AXA Training Centre as they aim to get their Premier League campaign back on track. The Reds currently find themselves nine points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

After having their fixtures against Wolves and Chelsea postponed, Liverpool’s last league match was against Everton on September 3. The Reds will now face a hectic schedule that will see them play twice a week until the break for the World Cup in the middle of November.

However, ahead of their latest training session, Klopp was left stunned when one member of his squad returned from international duty with a new hairstyle. Kostas Tsimikas, who played two games for Greece over the last week, returned sporting a man bun.

The hairstyle is very similar to the one Reds forward Darwin Nunez has - and Klopp couldn’t help but make a couple of cheeky comments about the full-back’s new look.

He said: “How much money do you want so that I can cut it off? At first I thought Darwin [Nunez] had shrunk!”

Speaking ahead of Saturday's game, Reds captain Jordan Henderson said: "This is a big game for us, definitely. It'll be tough as well because Brighton are a very good side, as they've shown over the course of the start of the season.

"It is important, but it will be difficult, and we hope that the fans will be along with us on Saturday, as I'm sure they will be.

"Graham Potter did an amazing job there and they've got some great players, they're a really good team and difficult to play against, as we've found out before in the past.

"They've now got a new manager, which normally would give them a lot of energy. Players will be right at it, I'm sure of that, so we need to make sure that we are as well. If we perform at the level that we can then hopefully it can be a good day for us."
