Customers "quickly and selflessly" stepped in to help after a woman collapsed and died in a coffee shop.
Cheshire Police yesterday confirmed officers were called shortly before 2pm on Wednesday, March 29 to Elephant Coffee on Neston's High Street. Officers were called following reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services swiftly attended the scene but, despite best efforts of all involved, a 63-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed."

Elephant Coffee confirmed the incident on their social media accounts yesterday afternoon. A spokesperson for the coffee shop said customers "quickly and selflessly" stepped in to try and help the woman after she collapsed.
The statement said: "Today there was an unfortunate incident in Elephant Coffee whereby a customer of ours collapsed. We cannot emphasise enough our amount of admiration and appreciation to the few of our customers who so quickly and selflessly stepped in and helped.
"Our appreciation also goes to the emergency services for such a fast response to the situation. As you can imagine this was an extremely stressful moment to all those involved, including our staff members.
"We would therefore ask for and appreciate full discretion on this topic when speaking to our team."
